OVERVIEW:

In this Program you start the trip from Luxor City. Visit the famous highlights of Luxor, such as the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Continue with the Nile Cruise Sail to Aswan. On the Way the Nile Cruise Stops at Edfu City to visit Horus Temple and at Kom Ombo City to visit Kom Ombo Temple. At the end of the Nile Cruise, arrive in Aswan. In Aswan you visit the High Dam, Philae Temple and enjoy a relaxing Felucca Ride in the Nile around Aswan Islands.

ITINERARY:

Day 1: WELCOME TO LUXOR, CRUISE EMBARKATION, KARNAK AND LUXOR TEMPLES
Arrive at Luxor Airport or Luxor Railway Station, meet and assist by our representative. Transfer from Luxor Airport or Luxor Railway Station or hotel in Luxor to Nile Cruise boat. Embarkation before lunch 13.00 Lunch on board In the afternoon, proceed with the visit of the East Bank of the Nile including the Temple of Karnak, no site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man. It represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples situated on 247 acres of land; the Temple of Luxor, was the center of the most important festival, the festival of Opet, built largely by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The temple’s purpose was a setting for the rituals of the festival. The festival was to reconcile the human aspect of the ruler with the divine office. Day 2: LUXOR WEST BANK
Breakfast on board the cruise Cross the Nile to visits the West Bank of Luxor including the Valley of the Kings: The final resting place of Egypt’s rulers dynasty, it is home to tombs, including the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamen. The tombs were well stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world. Most of the decorations inside the tombs, still well preserved. Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari: It is one of the most beautiful and best preserved of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels. Colossi of Memnon: Two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III, the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone. Back to Nile Cruise boat Lunch on board the Cruise Sail to Esna Lock, Cross Esna Lock and sail to Edfu.

Day 3: EDFU AND KOM OMBO TEMPLES
Breakfast on board of the cruise By horse carriage, visit the Horus Temple in Edfu dedicated to the God Horus. Edfu temple is considered the most preserved Greco-Roman temple all over Egypt and its walls portray a “Play” showing the overcome of Horus over the Devil God Seth. (By Horse Carriage) Sail to Kom-Ombo Lunch on board the Cruise Arrive Kom-Ombo, visit the Temple of Kom-Ombo: a temple overlooking the Nile. This temple is divided into 2 temples with 2 entrances, 2 hypostyle Halls, and 2 sanctuaries, dedicated for Gods Sobek and Haroeris. After the tour we continue sailing to Aswan

Day 4: PHILAE TEMPLE, THE HIGH DAM AND THE UNFINISHED OBELISK
Breakfast on board Proceed with the visits of Aswan including the The High Dam: It was built across the Nile at Aswan and was constructed between 1960 and 1970, and has had a significant effect on the economy and culture of Egypt. The Unfinished Obelisk: The largest obelisk in ancient time. It was ordered by Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) to complement the Lateran Obelisk (which was originally at Karnak} and was later brought to the Lateran Palace in Rome. Philae Temple: The temple dedicated to Goddess Isis of Love and Beauty. The temple complex was dismantled and relocated to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam. Back to the Nile Cruise boat and lunch on board of the cruise.

Day 5: DISEMBARKATION, OPTIONAL TOUR TO ABU SIMBLE & DEPARTURE
